The current show at Arc-Hive is our first members show since opening in January, 2017. Connie Michele Morey curated it as a part of the Integrate festival which happens in Victoria every summer to bring together artists, studios and galleries. There are works by Regan Rasmussen, Connie Michele Morey, Karina Kalvaitis, Kerry Vaughn Erickson, Laura Feeleus, Alison Bigg, and includes a sound installation by Dave Riedstra.
The piece I did for the Bridge show is called “One Passing Another” It is 4 long banners that make up one 48″x 36″ work on paper. I used several methods of printmaking to create this piece; Pronto lithography, collography, chine colle, and embossing. This work reflects on language as a bridge to connect people, the importance of face to face communication, reinforcing community and the role this connection plays in being happy and healthy.
