This Abhaya Buddha, Buddha of fearlessness and protection, was created out of found bits and pieces in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. It is entirely Cambodian, though, made from styrofoam, a found photo, an origami star, a rusty key, and is wrapped in a scrap of a traditional krama.
It was left in Ho Chi Minh city, at the Bookworm Coffee shop in the Pham Ngu Lao area. If you have found this Buddha please take it as a souvenir, maybe leaving another treasure behind or leave it somewhere new. Either way, please comment below. For more info read the Artist statement Thanks!
