I’ve been working with encaustics for over a year now and am only now starting to feel comfortable painting with the wax. I’ve worked with beeswax in the past just because I love the smell and texture of it. In the encautstic process the wax is mixed with damar resin so that the resulting painting is hard enough to not melt.  I will be doing a lot more of this, maybe in a more 3 dimensional way. By biggest inspiration is the art by Daniella Woolf.  For classes in Victoria check out Poppet Art Studio.
